Bell Family

The Bell's love seeing the water from their home and cherish this time in Bermuda while they can enjoy such a scenic view. Much of their life is spent loading on and off this dock to their boat - day and evening on family trips, with friends and family, and on date nights, so it made sense to capture the four of them in such a well loved spot. There is a peacefulness at this family's home and they give thanks every day so it seemed the perfect spot to capture their family.

Trent and Ivy are real buddies. They are less than two years apart and have such fun together, from jumping on the trampoline to swimming to playing with their puzzles and toys in the house.

Dave can always get the kids going on a game of soccer kicks and is now coaching Trent's soccer team. Brittany looks forward to their cuddles at night and reading bedtime stories together, with the addition of Trent now reading to his parents at night.

Trent is a little peach, a sweet fun boy with hair like sunshine. And he has the most amazingly long eyelashes.

Ivy is a sweet sugar pop and quite the little actress and dancer, full of expressions and so loving. Her giggle is contagious and got all of us going several times during the shoot - especially her big brother.

Brittany, Dave, Trent and Ivy - thank you so much for inviting me to your home to capture some fun memories of your family - I think at home is such a special place and where you feel most comfortable, not to mention where you spend the most time so it was just wonderful. Thank you. xx

Starosielski Family

The Starosielski were visiting Bermuda for their fourth time. Tom's sister, Iris, and her husband moved here nine years ago when Tom and Heather visited for the first time in 2001. At the time, heather was pregnant with Kaela, their youngest, while Mienna had remained at home. They fell deeply in love with the island's tranquil beaches and ocean views. Being from Alberta, Canada, where they operate a cattle farm, it is a far cry from their regular home life. Since that first visit, they have come back with both girls three times, and they adore coming to see their favourite aunt and uncle, who have since themselves had children, and whom I photographed last year.

Mienna is now 11, and Kaela aged 8. They are so sweet together, and although so different, seem to be great friends. Mienna is definitely a tom boy and adores playing sports and is very athletic. Kaela is more of a girly girl which is a bit more like her mum.

The family have held off having family pictures done over the years as they had always anticipated having a larger family, but decided the time was right while visiting their favourite place on earth during their holiday this year. Heather and Tom realise that the girls are growing up so quickly into gorgeous young ladies, so they didn't want to let another day slip by without documenting their childhood beauty.in

Thanks to all of you for a lovely shoot - I am so happy you love Bermuda so much and have an excuse to come all the time, and even if you don't always have that excuse, I hope you will still come! Hope these will carry you through the chilly winter months in Alberta! xxx
