The flowers were nothing short of sensational. When I arrived at the event site before anyone was there, I was spell bound. In the thank you note Michal wrote to Nikki Begg, the amazing wedding planner/owner of Bermuda Bride, she said that she only cried twice during her wedding weekend, and once was when she saw the orchids at the alter. Marguerite at Petals did a superb job right down to the last detail, from slipping in a sweet yellow rose (of Texas) in the bride and her mother's bouquets in memory of Michal's grandmother, to the incredible blossoms at the alter placed in memory of both Michal and Gavin's grand parents who have passed.
Long before the couple were engaged, Gavin had fished for information on what sort of ring Michal wanted. Gavin proposed with her dream diamond - a solitaire cushion cut stone - knowing that they would be able to design the settings and band together.
Yana from Strands did the bridal party's make up and everyone was radiant.
Vernon from Strands did the bridal party's hair. Although not planned, once he saw the orchids, he knew that they would the the ultimate adornments for all the girls' hair and he was right.
When Gavin and Michal were in the early stages of planning their nuptials, they knew they wanted a destination wedding. Having been to a few overseas events themselves, they had had an incredible time bonding with guests and spending more time than just the wedding day celebrating. Although Michal was convinced that the Caribbean was the perfect location, Gavin insisted they visit Bermuda since he had holidayed on the Island as a child. The couple both fell in love with Tucker's Point the moment they arrived, even though it was pouring with rain and windy. And when they returned some months later, the weather was also miserable as you may remember me mentioning when I shot their engagement session. Since they did not want a beach wedding, the tropical feel of the hotel combined with its chic elegance won Michal over instantly and the pair decided to have their ceremony on the croquet lawn where it was intimate, yet still had the dramatic backdrop of the palms, pool, land and sea views beyond. Once the pair saw the view from the golf clubhouse, that was a deal clincher for the ideal reception spot.
Wow! I don’t have words to describe this wedding, it looks fab! The photographer has done a superb work and has captured each and every moment beautifully. I am also looking for a photographer and a beautiful event space Atlanta for my pre-wedding photoshoot.
