Michelle & Heinz


Michelle and Heinz tied the knot on the stunning round terrace over looking Hamilton Harbour at The Newstead Belmont Hills. The backdrop was stunning and the couple were elegant and tender as they exchanged their vows before their closest family and friends. They were blessed with glorious sunshine for all the outdoor parts of the day and the rains held off just long enough to allow the couple and their guests to be seated inside the Beau Rivage restaurant. 






Michelle's boss had taken her to lunch at Beau Rivage one day and the bride to be had fallen in love with the food and the look of the location at the resort. She knew it was the perfect location to say I do.







I just fell in love with Michelle's look on her wedding day. It was so vintage chic and she held herself in such an old Hollywood glamour sort of way. Her dress was by Enzoani, Casablanca, and her jewelry was by Swarovski.



This image was blasted out as I hadn't changed my settings yet, but as often is the case, I adore the result.


These two were so comfortable in front of the camera - this photo below makes me swoon.




The beautiful flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony and reception were all created my Flowers by Gimi.




Michelle's hair was done by Nazma at Inner Sanctum and Afroditi did her makeup. For something old, the bride carried a handkerchief, and her something blue was her vintage aquamarine ring. She wore a new veil and borrowed a lighter.





Michelle was pretty sure a proposal was going to happen the night they were engaged. Heinz had made her dinner and when she went to take a shower, she heard the pop of a champagne bottle opening and considering her love had never made her dinner before without asking for help, she was pretty certain something was going to happen.















I love the story of their rings. Heinz bought them after winning poker in Vegas - classic.



And onto the reception...



Love little cupcake castles in lieu of more formal or traditional wedding cakes, but always wonder how guests control themselves from snatching one before it is time! Glenda, one of Heinz's work colleagues made the cupcakes and the bride was inspired by Martha Stewart to include their initials.



Each little sugar heart had either an "M" or an "H" on it.



This was just a snap grabbed at the end but I suddenly remembered I hadn't done a traditional one for the grandparents - love the relaxed feel of the image so couldn't decide between this one and the version below.



Adored the beading details around the flower stems in the glass vases.







Michelle and Heinz - thank you so much for sharing your intimate wedding with me. I loved all the details and indeed capturing not only your gorgeousness, but indeed your love. I am so happy that you were able to share the big day not only with loved ones from here, but also family from Austria and that the sun shone down so sweetly on you both. xx
