Bumsted Family

Sarah had planned this shoot as a gift for Bryan for his birthday. She had intended it to be a "Daddy and Daughter" shoot, but I convinced her that she should be in the photos too, for Annie, for Bryan, and indeed for her. She was reluctant at first but now is so glad she agreed. Annie's spritely personality had really begun to shine through at the time of the shoot and her parents were thrilled to be able to document this fleeting time in their lives.

Although they are American, they are living in Spanish Point and it is the only home Annie has known and one of her favourite haunts is Admiralty Park where they enjoy year round swims, windy picnics and exploring the caves. It was the perfect location to capture Annie's adventurous and energetic nature as she romped around the park with her parents.

This little one was just delicious - she was full of such joy for everything she saw and did.

I was a little smitten with her sweet little flaxen curls.

One of the reasons Sarah was so keen to do the father daughter shoot is she is in awe of the special relationship Annie and Bryan have. She longed to capture the charming relationship of their shared mischievousness.

I just picked this flower from one of the trees there but it could not have better matched Annie's darling little orange romper and really just makes the image I think.

I had never been to these caves before so it was a total treat for me to explore the park which is now our new stomping ground too since moving from Somerset.

And I am such a fan of long grasses - it is just a heavenly setting in which to shoot.

Thank you Annie, Sarah and Bryan for reintroducing me to Admiralty Park and for such a fun shoot - you have a beautiful family and have so much joy in your hearts that comes out in the photos. xxx
